Who can become a member?
- All PhD students of the º£½ÇÖ±²¥ who have officially registered as PhD students are automatically members of REaCh.
- º£½ÇÖ±²¥ early career researchers holding a PhD (e.g. postdocs, junior professors, junior research group leaders habilitation candidates and tenure-track professors - details here) can register as individual members of REaCh (register here).
General criteria for the use of the offers of REaCh by early career researchers of the º£½ÇÖ±²¥
The offers of REaCh are addressed to early career researchers of the º£½ÇÖ±²¥ who fulfill the general criteria of a early career researcher of REaCh and who can be assigned either to the group of doctoral candidates or to the group of those who have completed their doctorate. In addition, further specifications apply in the individual funding lines, which can be found in the respective calls for proposals. You can find more information about the criteria here.
If you are unsure to what extent these criteria apply to your own career path or whether you are eligible to apply for a certain funding line, we will be happy to advise you!
Individual membership for PhDs
All postdocs, junior professors, junior research group leaders, tenure-track professors, and other postdoctoral researchers at º£½ÇÖ±²¥who meet the general criteria for using our offers are invited to register as individual members for free via this form or via e-mail.

Q&A about membership
All PhD students who are officially registered as PhD students at the º£½ÇÖ±²¥ are automatically members of REaCh. An additional registration at the REaCh office is not necessary!
Please note that an acceptance as a doctoral candidate in the department is not equivalent to the registration as a doctoral candidate and that the registration is obligatory for all accepted doctoral candidates of the º£½ÇÖ±²¥ according to § 5 of the (University Statistics Act) (completely independent of a membership in REaCh)! If you have already been accepted as a doctoral student at your department and have not yet registered, please register at the Student Service Center as soon as possible! You can find more information and the registration form here.
If you meet the general criteria of REaCh for early career researchers with a doctorate and are doing research or are working at the º£½ÇÖ±²¥, you are cordially invited to register informally and free of charge as an individual member. The easiest way to do this is to fill out this application form or send an e-mail to reach-info[at]rptu.de. If you decide to register by e-mail, please send us all information that is also requested in the application form.
The further education offers of REaCh can be used by every early career (and advanced) researcher of the º£½ÇÖ±²¥ who fulfills our general criteria of a early career researcher.
However, the financial funding lines (e.g. research funding, mobility funding, etc.) can currently only be used by members.
Information about our concept and our bylaws can be found here.
