Admission
After the application deadline has expired, ISGS and the CVT examination board start the evaluation of the applications. The examination board checks if the technical requirements are met or if the applicant should improve his/ her knowledge of a special field prior to the start of the studies.
Within some weeks after the application deadline has expired, the applicant gets notice of acceptance or rejection.
If he/she accepts the admission, personal communication on social and administrative aspects with starts.
Visa and Blocked Account
As an international student, you need a visa and proof of sufficient funds. The visa process can take several months, so we recommend applying for a visa in good time. You can usually make an appointment to apply for a visa before you receive your admission letter. But you will definitely need your admission letter at the appointment. Start of Studies
For international students, the start of the program will be 1. August. Students will begin with the , which includes welcome services, German language classes, administrative and social support, cultural activities and meetings with scientific staff. During this period, you can also already meet with your mentor and discuss with him/her a personal study plan. The course ends in mid-October and leaves students well prepared for the start of the semester at the end of October.
