Three invited talks from Spin+X PI Prof. Mathias Kl盲ui's group at ICM 2024
Prof. Dr. Mathias Kl盲ui, Prof. Dr. Martin Jourdan, and PhD student Aditya Kumar from JGU Mainz showcased their recent research work at the International Conference on Magnetism 2024, held in Bologna, Italy.
Prof. Dr. Mathias Kl盲ui provided an overview of advances by the group in the field of orbitronics and skyrmionics in his talk titled 鈥淔rom spin-orbitronics to orbitronics : efficient manipulation of topological spin structures for memory and unconventional computing鈥. His talk featured the results from the Spin+X project A01.
Prof. Dr. Martin Jourdan presented their work on altermagnetism in his talk titled 鈥淎ltermagnetic band splitting in CrSb thin films observed by SX-ARPES鈥. This research, based on Spin+X project A05, confirms the theoretical prediction of robust spin splitting in altermagnet CrSb. The underlying work has been published in Nature Communications ().
PhD student Aditya Kumar presented the group鈥檚 research on 2D materials in his talk titled 鈥淭ailoring exchange bias in van der Waal heterostructures by manipulating interface registry鈥. This study addresses the impact of the nature of interfaces on exchange bias, providing new insights about van der Waals interfaces. This research work, based on Spin+X project A12, has been recently published in Advanced Materials () and ACS Nano .
