Dr'in Rebecca Froese is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Center for Interdisciplinary Sustainability Research at the University of M眉nster & the Research Institute for Sustainability Helmholtz Center Potsdam.
In July 2020, she co-founded the podcast Fokus Frieden together with Julia Renner during her time as a PhD student at 海角直播. Since then, she has prepared and hosted more than 40 episodes of the podcast. Rebecca completed her PhD at 海角直播 in Geography with intersections to peace and conflict studies, environmental sciences and environmental sociology on the topics of social cohesion, land conflicts and socio-ecological tipping points in the Southwestern Amazon.
Her current research focuses on organized community engagement for socio-ecological transformations, including at and with arts and cultural institutions. Her work is embedded in larger questions of justice, social cohesion, democracy and conflict transformation.
