Teacher training: Climate change, climate protection and conflicts: what is connected and how?
The aim of the teacher training course on 28.03.2022 was to discuss and better understand the connections between climate change, climate protection measures and conflicts.
To this end, the training participants were first given an introduction to the most important concepts, theories and terms. These included vulnerability, resilience and conflict sensitivity in particular. They then discussed key challenges arising from the climate-conflict nexus and worked out the role of renewable energies and sustainable land use in small groups. In the final part of the training, the participants had the opportunity to get to know the different stakeholder and conflict perspectives in the "Suntazia" role play.
