Peace Academy RLP introduces itself in the alliance 'Democracy wins!

Charlotte Dany presented the Peace Academy RLP with its tasks and its special structure, as well as the current activities with a concrete connection to democracy. The Peace Academy RLP researches and works on conflicts within democracy, but also around democracy itself. With the rise of right-wing populism, these conflicts about democracy are often conducted in the name of democracy - which makes it so difficult to respond to them. It is therefore the aim of the Peace Academy to help ensure that as many people as possible actively engage with democracy and to make these conflicts the starting point for learning processes. The Peace Academy is currently involved in the #1832HAMBACH2021 initiative with several events of its own: on 25.6. it is organizing a on the intellectual debate within the AfD; on 10.7. the '. Further events will follow in the fall and winter, focusing on current conflicts over democracy from a peace education and political science perspective.

Around 70 organizations from Rhineland-Palatinate are involved in the to introduce young people to democracy, participation and volunteering at an early age. Under the patronage of Minister President Malu Dreyer, the alliance aims to help shape the learning and living environments of children and young people in a democratic and participatory way so that they can acquire democratic attitudes and skills from an early age.
