The theater evenings of the joint project of the Peace Academy Rhineland-Palatinate and the Center for Cultural and Knowledge Dialogue (ZKW) announced for May 12 and 13 must unfortunately be canceled due to illness. New dates will be announced in due course. (Update of the announcement from May 10, 2022)

The war in Ukraine reminds us that terror is not something abstract that happens in a distant country, but also very close to home. "We Are the Good Guys (Shoot / Get Treasure / Repeat)" by British playwright Mark Ravenhill, which students of the "Performing Arts / Theater" department at Landau University will perform on 12 and 13 May at the Gloria Kulturpalast as part of a joint theater project, sheds light on the various facets of terror - from crisis zones to small families.

The question of good and evil or enemy and friend raises more questions than it answers. The title "We are the good guys", for example, can be understood as a critical reference to the justification of the Western "war on terror" in Afghanistan.

With this play, the Peace Academy Rhineland-Palatinate, in cooperation with New York University and the ZKW (Center for Cultural and Knowledge Dialogue) of the University of Landau, opens the cultural summer project "Ostwind # War and Peace".As a unique interface institution in Rhineland-Palatinate, the Peace Academy Rhineland-Palatinate promotes the exchange between academic and civil society, and thus also the artistic, examination of peace and conflict issues.

The play will be performed on two evenings, May 12 and 13, both at 8 p.m., at the Gloria Kulturpalast in Landau. Tickets (10,- Euro / reduced for students 5,- Euro) can be reserved by e-mail at: wirsinddieguten-tickets[at]gmx.de or are available at the box office.
