]]> City meets Campus news-18944 Thu, 30 Apr 2026 14:00:00 +0200 Lautarium workshop: Effective support for children with reading and spelling difficulties: The web-based training program Lautarium 2 /en/newsroom/events/detail/news/default-ef6a40f83e75c679fd7dddd8f0ef809f The workshop will focus on the support concept, content and implementation of training with Lautarium 2.0. After an introductory presentation with demonstrations, there will be the opportunity to try out the program for yourself on the notebooks provided.

The computer-based support program "Lautarium" for children with reading and spelling difficulties was developed in the "Cognitive and Developmental Psychology" working group at º£½ÇÖ±²¥ in Kaiserslautern as part of the BMBF priority program "Developmental Disorders of School Skills". The program is based on the latest international research into the causes and treatment of reading and spelling difficulties and has proven effective in numerous studies. A new, web-based version of Lautarium will be released in spring 2026. Lautarium 2.0 can be used platform-independently at various locations with different end devices.

The players are always caught between what is (technically) feasible and what is (socially) acceptable.

The process of these necessary changes is described by the term "transformation", which is the title of our joint conference of the Rhine-Neckar Transport Association and the Institute for Mobility & Transport at º£½ÇÖ±²¥ - and which runs like a common thread through the program. We will be looking at transformation in the technical and spatial sense as well as transformation management itself.

Despite their deep personal grief, they are consistently committed to dialog, understanding and an end to violence. Instead of hatred, they choose the common path of mourning. Their aim is not forgiveness, but the transformation of pain into hope - and the conviction that peace is only possible through mutual listening and recognition. The Parents Circle was founded in 1995 and is still active today, despite all the escalations. In 2025, the Parents Circle was awarded the International Nuremberg Human Rights Prize - one of many important honors that recognize the work of the organization. This event offers the rare opportunity to hear voices that consciously avoid the spiral of violence and retaliation - and instead stand up for humanity, dialog and peace. Organized in cooperation with CampusKultur and the Protestant church district of Landau. The introduction will be in German; the lecture in English.
