Landau Peace Lecture: Fridays for Future & the Peace Movement of the 1980s: Similarities, Opportunities, Challenges
On the occasion of the World Day of Peace on September 21, Friedel Gr眉tzmacher and Eva Quistorp, representatives of the peace movement of the 1980s, and Flora Dahlhausen and Robin Puster, representatives of the Fridays for Future movement, discussed at the Landau Peace Lecture.
The speakers highlighted the similarities and differences between the environmental and peace movements. They also spoke about the role of activists in these movements and the challenges they faced. The highlight was a short slideshow with photos from the movements from the 1980s to the present day.
